Apprenticeships and work-learning experience in biodynamic agriculture
Beginning July 2008
Jim Barausky, biodynamic farmer and gardener of 35 years, is offering hands-on gardening and farming sessions at Frog Belly Farm. Experience will include: small garden, field crops, greenhouse work, pasturing, orchard management, herbs, horses, goats, chickens, bees, and much more.
Frog Belly Farm, a local organic 80 acre farm, is converting to Biodynamic methods. FBF will become a Demeter Certified Farm offering locally produced eggs, meat, goat and cow milk, produce, herbs and fruit on a membership CSA basis, (with work share options). The farm will also offer educational programs, classes, seasonal events, family festivals, and volunteer/service learning programs.
Hands-on Biodynamics is offered every Friday and Saturday morning from 8-12 beginning in July. Sessions will include practical work experience with instruction in basic organic techniques and practical biodynamic applications. This is an opportunity to work and learn.
